Black Sand Beach Maui, also known as Honokalani Beach or Pailoa Beach, is located within Wai’anapanapa State Park, 2.9 miles north of the town of Hana on the east side of Maui.

You will find the famous Black Sand Beach in Maui at the end of Waianapanapa Road, off Highway 360, otherwise known as the Hana Highway, and Honokalani Road.

If you are driving the Road to Hana, look for Maui’s Black Sand Beach and Waianapanapa State Park at mile marker 32.
